Hey everyone! How are we all doing? If you are in the UK like myself then you will know we are back into another Lockdown…
I want to keep positive this time so I am thinking of ways I can make 2021 better than I can control myself. Here are my Top 3 Goals for this year:
- Spend less time on my Phone
We are guilty of this I feel. As soon as I wake up in the morning and before I go to sleep at night I check my phone and have a scroll through social media, reply to messages, post online etc. This year I am going to cut the time down I spend on my phone and actually be more present in the moment. I find myself thinking constantly ” I want to document this for Instagram” or “What’s everyone’s thoughts today on Facebook”. It’s a habit I want to break to create a happier self. I think we can all agree we spend too much time on our phones and it can be addictive to the point of not being present in life.
2. Spend less time flicking through Instagram and other social media
This goes hand in hand with spending less time on my phone. However every time I pick up my phone I look on Social Media and look at other people’s lives. I will be putting myself on a ban of all social media after 10pm and first thing when I wake up. I feel like it’s an unhealthy habit to keep for me personally.
3. Worry less…do more
Prior to the Pandemic of COVID-19, I didn’t worry about a lot in my life. I had a good business, lots of friends, a great family life but the pandemic brought stress and anxiety I know a lot of us have never felt before. This year I want to worry less about the things I cannot control and be more proactive on the things that I can. I want to stop procrastinating and putting jobs off because I don’t like to do them and be more present in each day. Stop worrying about the future as there is nothing we can do about it right now and we must trust that Science will help us get out of this situation to help bring a happier and healthier 2021.
